Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its spectacular box office journey as it enters its fourth week in theatres, maintaining a strong grip despite new releases. The mythological action drama has now amassed ₹599.15 crore in India, narrowly missing the ₹600 crore milestone by just ₹1 crore, according to Sacnilk reports.
On Wednesday, the film collected ₹2.50 crore, showing a slight dip in weekday business. So far, Kantara Chapter 1 has earned ₹337.4 crore in its first week, ₹147.85 crore in the second, and ₹78.85 crore in the third. The fourth week began with a modest rise during the weekend but witnessed a 68% decline during weekdays, collecting ₹3.25 crore on Monday and ₹3.8 crore on Tuesday.
Box Office Journey and Occupancy
The film continues to perform steadily across languages, with Kannada occupancy at 11.44%, Telugu at 8.79%, Hindi at 13.37%, and Tamil at 17.39% on Wednesday.
Globally, Kantara Chapter 1 has reportedly grossed ₹817 crore, including ₹707 crore from India and ₹110 crore overseas. Makers, however, claim the worldwide total has reached ₹852 crore after 26 days.
The movie is now expected to finish its theatrical run with over ₹875 crore worldwide, though that goal may be affected by the upcoming digital release on October 31, which will cover the South Indian language versions.
